SpheriStat 3.1 Updated Again

We inadvertently included incorrect DXF block files when we built the download file and only just now discovered the error. It must be that no one is using SpheriStat’s ability to export the plots to DXF format, as no one has written to us about the problem! Regardless, we rebuilt the installer with the correct files and posted the update zip file. There is no need to reinstall the program, since it hasn't changed. If you do need the DXf files, you only need to extract those files and place them in SpheriStat’s DXFBLCKS folder in your user Application Data directory.

SpheriStat 3.1 is Released

We have fixed a number of problems and made some small improvements, so we decided to release the upgrade with a new version number. Among the improvements includes an easier-to-use print preview page, with quick access to the page orientation and plot scaling options. Some functions that failed to work correctly have now been fixed.

We think this is a much more stable version and encourage all current users to download the upgrade and install it over the previous version. Your registration information is stored, so you shouldn't need to recall it. Installation of the update will not affect any of your data or customizations.

Although we like to think that the program is now perfect, problems undoubtedly still exist. Please do tell us about them so that we can make the necessary repairs.

SpheriStat 3 is Updated

As small problems in our new SpheriStat 3 have come to our attention, we have been posting an updated version on our Downloads page, noting the date. We hope that such updates will become less frequent as time passes!

If you are a registered user, check the page from time to time to see if there is a version newer than your current one. If it is newer, then simply download the zip file, extract the setup program into a temporary directory and run the installation program. If you install the program files in the same location as the previous version, then you will not need to re-enter the registration information. And don’t worry, your own data and customization files are not affected by the reinstallation.

The latest update fixes a problem we recognized back in January, but did not completely resolve then. In addition to changing the sample and symbol files, the program must also handle the inputting and display of floating point numbers in the proper decimal format. We have now systematically gone through the code and made the appropriate changes to handle such numbers properly. If we missed any, please do tell us about it so that we can fix it.
